Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins and the Department will be hosting “A Conversation About Race” at Roxbury Community College on Tuesday, August, 23, 2016.

Panelists joining Sheriff Tompkins for this frank discussion about race include: Dan Rivera, Mayor of Lawrence; State Rep. Evandro C. Carvalho; William Gross, Boston Police Department Superintendent-in-Chief; Michael Curry, President of the Boston NAACP; Dan Mulhern, Senior Advisor for the Mayor of Boston’s Office of Public Safety initiative; Adam Foss, Former Assistant District Attorney; Alberto Vasallo, Jr., El Mundo Newspaper Founder and President of the MassINC Polling Group.

“A Conversation About Race” will take place on August 23rd in the Media Arts Building on the Roxbury Community College Campus, 1234 Columbus Avenue, Boston, MA 02120 from 6:00PM – 8:30PM (doors open at 5:30PM). The event is free and open to the public.
