A big thank you to Mattapan Public Library and the residents of Mattapan for another successful Renew Boston energy efficiency workshop!

We’re excited to keep the momentum going in 2017 with another Renew energy efficiency workshop! This past Saturday, Renew Boston along with our partners hosted an energy efficiency workshop to help Boston homeowners, renters, and landlords cut their monthly utility bills. If you missed us this month, don’t sweat it! We’ll be in East Boston next month hosting another workshop!

After connecting with neighbors over coffee and breakfast pastries, residents enjoyed an informative presentation by Lourdes Lopez, Renew Boston’s Outreach Manager. Lourdes went through the process of signing up for a No-Cost Home Energy Visit (which you can do today too!). Throughout the workshop, ABCD Weatherization Assistance Program, The Boston Home Center, MassSave, and Renew Boston staff were on hand to answer questions residents had. Despite the beautiful weather, we had a large turn-out and we want to thank everyone who spent part of their Saturday with us in Mattapan!

If you’d like to receive updates about all things climate and energy efficiency in Boston, sign up for our newsletter. We hope to see you and your neighbors next month in East Boston!

If you were unable to make the workshop and want to take advantage of the program so you can start the process to monthly energy savings, here is a summary of the most important steps:

  1. Call 617-635-7283(SAVE) to schedule a NO-COST Home Energy Visit with a Mass Save Certified Energy Specialist! A No-cost Home Energy Visit provides the resident with on-the-spot improvements such as LED light bulbs, advanced power strips, low flow showerheads, and a programmable thermostat, plus a custom energy report and access to incredible rebates for big money-saving upgrades such as wall, basement and attic  insulation and heating system replacement plus FREE air sealing
  2. Sign up for Greenovate’s newsletter to hear about more opportunities to reduce energy and take part in Boston’s climate goals
  3. RSVP to one of our upcoming workshops!
