NEW TEAM INTRODUCTIONS – KYLE DAVIS

By October 21, 2019 No Comments

As the Fall 2017 Northeastern Co-Op Intern, I am thrilled to work with the Greenovate team!

I am majoring in environmental studies with a minor in sustainable business; my interest in climate issues and understanding of their urgency sparked my passion for environmental policy. Formerly from Philadelphia, I moved to Boston to attend Northeastern University in 2015. Since then, I have grown to appreciate the beauty and excitement of this vibrant city, and its delicate urban ecosystem.

Although my studies are focused on the Kyle_Davis.jpgenvironment, I am also passionate about social services and justice. I have volunteered with a mentoring program called DREAM: Orchard Gardens for almost two years, working with low income youth in Boston’s Orchard Gardens community. As my branch’s fundraising coordinator, I have the privilege of interacting with our mentees, in addition to working with Boston’s regional director to help empower the communities DREAM works with. My interests in community engagement and the environment make Greenovate the perfect place to pursue environmental policy, and use my skills to help implement the city’s Climate Action Plan. In my spare time I enjoy playing basketball, learning new vegan recipes, and exploring the city on my bike.

I am so excited to learn more about environmental action in this city and connect with its many communities in effort to ensure a climate ready Boston. Feel free to contact me with any riveting environmental or social content!
