Greenovate Boston is offering two fellowships this fall to individuals who are committed to helping our team achieve the City’s climate action goals.

Greenovate Boston Fellow

Greenovate Boston is looking for a driven individual to help inspire climate action in the Boston community through the power of writing. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to build a prolific writing portfolio of online content that features the climate and sustainability stories of the City of Boston, its partners, and community leaders. The right candidate will play an integral role in implementing a content strategy covering the City of Boston’s Climate Action Plan topics of climate preparedness and resiliency, building  energy efficiency, and zero waste.

Renew Boston Outreach Fellow

The Renew Boston Fellow will work closely with the Renew Boston Community Manager to develop new and innovative strategies for outreach. Renew Boston is the City’s residential energy efficiency program in partnership with Mass Save, Eversource and National Grid. The program serves to educate and connect Boston’s residents and small businesses with energy efficiency resources such as home energy visits, insulation and heating system replacements. Renew Boston plays an important role in the Mayor’s Climate Action Plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for the residential building sector.

Renew Boston is a program implemented through the Greenovate Boston initiative. This individual is a member of the Greenovate team, specifically focused on connecting residents to the Renew Boston program.

Please send resumes and cover letters to greenovate@boston.gov with the subject line “Greenovate Boston Fellowship”. Greenovate Boston fellowship applications will be reviewed by hiring manager Jessica Feldish. Renew Boston fellowship applications will be reviewed by hiring manager Lourdes Lopez.

These Greenovate Fellowships are full-time, contracted positions starting in August (at the earliest) and ending on June 29, 2017. Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until Friday, August 18th at 5pm. The ideal candidate will be a resident of Boston. Working remotely is not an option.
