The Mayor’s Greenovate Awards were established to recognize those with outstanding achievement in climate action and environmental sustainability in the Boston community.
Boston is considered a global sustainability leader for its policies on emissions reductions and climate change preparedness. Our leadership and progress is largely determined by the collective actions of the people who live, work, and play in our City. Through key partnerships, including other city agencies, community groups, businesses, institutions, and the Green Ribbon Commission, Greenovate Boston aims to build a greener, healthier, and more prosperous city.
The Greenovate community has evolved into a diverse and inclusive network that makes it possible for every Bostonian to contribute to the City’s greenhouse gas reduction goals. The Mayor’s Greenovate Awards were established to recognize those with outstanding achievement in climate action and environmental sustainability in the Boston community. The awards recognize institutions, businesses, organizations, groups, and individuals.
With the support and action from the Boston community, the City of Boston continues to move forward in achieving its climate and sustainability goals as outlined in the 2014 Greenovate Boston Climate Action Plan.
