CITY HALL COMPOSTING

By October 23, 2019 No Comments

Project Oscar has arrived at City Hall Plaza! Now you can responsibly dispose of your lunch leftovers and help turn food waste into a valuable resource by sending your materials to a local farm to be composted.

Project Oscar is a collaborative effort by the Mayor’s Office of Food Initiatives, the Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics, Greenovate Boston, and the Public Works Department to provide community composting options to Boston.

“How do I compost?”

1.) Review the materials that are accepted in Project Oscar bins. See the poster here.

2.) Take your compostable materials to the Project Oscar bin on City Hall Plaza, next to the food trucks.

3.) That’s it! Thanks for helping turn food waste into a valuable material!

“I’m really excited and want to help others participate.”
