WHAT DOES THE ZOO HAVE TO DO WITH YOUR ENERGY BILLS?

By October 19, 2019 No Comments

On June 27th, the Renew Boston team joined more than 20,000 people in attending the Franklin Park Zoo’s Free Day. Visitors flocked to the zoo and, enticed with animal stickers and the lure of lower energy bills, stopped by the Renew Boston booth.

(The Renew Boston team welcomed visitor at the zoo’s entrance last Friday (Franklin Park Zoo’s Free Day)–many are very familiar with the program, while others are excited to learn about ways to reduce their energy use and costs.)

The Renew Boston team shared details on the benefits of its program and signed up a few dozen residents for free home energy assessments. Many residents were familiar with Renew Boston and planned to schedule appointments for Home Energy Assessment as soon as possible. For those new to the program, they were equally excited to learn more about how to reduce their home energy use and costs, as well as the instant savings measures they can receive (such as CFL light bulbs, shower heads, programmable thermostats, building insulation, etc.) – all at no cost to the resident! Overall, it was a great day at the zoo.
