HOW TO JOIN IN THE FUN AT GREENFEST THIS WEEKEND

By October 23, 2019 No Comments

GreenFest is upon us – here’s how to enjoy all the food, music, fashion, and fun the festival has to offer this weekend.

This weekend, GreenFest returns to Boston for the ninth year in a row. Hosted by Foundation for a Green Future, it’s the region’s largest multicultural environmental music festival celebrates all things green. The festival is free and features music, food, arts, film, fashion, fitness, and tons of local exhibitors and vendors.

GreenFest is described as a fun community classroom – it’s a great opportunity to learn about cool new ideas in sustainability and pick up strategies for going green in your own community. Here are just a few of the things you can enjoy at this year’s festival:

Experience live music and dance performances from more than 20 countries
Watch an upcycled fashion show
Help create a community-wide art piece
View a green film festival
Test drive an electric car
Listen to inspiring environmental speakers
Take a ride on a bike that generates electricity
Taste healthy international cuisines

GreenFest is produced by the Foundation for a Green Future, which works with communities to build a more environmentally-friendly world by bringing nature into our urban spaces. It’s also committed to making sure that the festival itself is environmentally friendly! Here’s some information about GreenFest’s “green footprint.”
