Masters in City Planning Candidate and Climate Ready Boston Leader, Tessa Buono, will host a lunch as part of the Climate Ready Boston Leaders program to share what the City of Boston is doing to prepare for the impacts of climate change. The lunch will specifically point to climate impacts projected in the MIT community and offer ways in which residents can take part in preparing for those impacts.

Participants of the event are expected to gain a deeper understanding of climate risks in Boston and will have an opportunity to share feedback to the City regarding strategies for strengthening Boston’s climate resiliency.

To read the Climate Ready Boston Final Report and for more information about the City’s initiatives, please see the City’s Climate Ready Boston website, https://www.boston.gov/departments/environment/climate-ready-boston

Thank you to the Department of Urban Studies Environmental Planning & Policy Group and the DUSP Student Council for funding this event!

Note: This is a community-led and organized event. Please keep in mind that presenters represent themselves and are not climate policy experts. If you have specific questions that Leaders are unable to answer, please direct them to greenovate@boston.gov.
